Poetic Form: Haiku Sonnet

Paws

I sometimes wish that I
Had four paws instead of feet
To move through the world.

I have found that I
Love creatures with four paws more
Than ones with two legs.

Their quiet nature
And their infinite patience
Soothes my weary soul.

And I think that I
Could be a better person
If I were like them.

But maybe that’s their purpose.
Inspiring from a distance.
